- Dyssomnia
- Parasomnia
Dyssomnia is abnormalities in:
- amount of sleep
- quality of sleep
- timing of sleep
Dyssomnia includes:
- primary insomnia
- primary hypersomnia
- narcolepsy
Parasomnia is:
- abnormal behavioral or
- abnormal physiological events
The Parasomnia events occur in association with:
- sleep
- specific sleep stages or
- awake transitions
These Parasomnia events are called:
- nightmares
- sleep terror
- sleepwalking
